In Utopia, the glass is half full. In Artopia, the glass is full of potential with today’s deal: pay $25 for $50 to spend on glass fusing at Artopia Studios. This studio, located near the Chinook Centre Mall, is dedicated to the art of fused glass. Trained instructors will guide you through creating your own glass jewelry, night light, decorative pieces, and more. You’ll design your custom piece, which will be draped or slumped into a three-dimensional shape by placing it over a ceramic or metal mold before placing it in a hot kiln. As the glass softens, your piece will take shape. Choose from their wide variety of glass textures and types, stringers, beads, and ropy frits to create your piece. The studio is open all week from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday; 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday—making it easy to turn any artsy hour into a creative Utopia.
