IKEA features a unique sale in each city every Wednesday. They call it their “Wacky Wednesday” huge savings deal. This weeks Calgary deal has the KARABY tv storage on sale for only  $69 (Was $169). They also have the SPARSAM low energy bulb on sale for only $0.49 (Was $6.99).

These deals are only valid on Wednesday, October 13, 2010. It’s a 1-day only sale. It is limited to stock on-hand and it is not valid on previous purchases and there are no rain checks. There’s a limit of 1 per customer.

Here’s a creative promotion from Sears Canada. It’s called their “1-Cent Event.” If you Buy 2 appliances, you’ll get the 3rd appliance for a penny. If you’re moving into a new place or in the process of replacing all of your old appliances, this is something you should take a closer look at.

All of the available options can be found on the Sears website. Here’s some examples:

1. Buy a Fridge and Range, and get the matching dishwasher for a penny.
2. Buy a Washer and Dryer, and get the matching Pedestal for a penny.
