I was interviewed by Global TV about the Golden Inn Restaurant

Global TV didn’t interview me about Calgary Deals Blog, but it was still pretty cool seeing myself on TV. If it wasn’t obvious, I was super nervous 🙂

My parents are the proud owners of the Golden Inn Restaurant in Chinatown since 1977. The restaurant was forced to close for 11 weeks after the catastrophic floods that hit Calgary back in June.

I helped out at ‘Taste of Chinatown’ ceremonial re-opening event on Wednesday night and was interviewed by Global TV.

Thanks again for the support Calgary! It still blows my mind how the city came together during the  flood.

If you’re ever craving Chinese food or in the area, please visit the restaurant. The Golden Inn is renowned for its delicious Cantonese-style dishes and super-late hours. Our salt and pepper squid is purported to be the best in the city.

  1. Glad to hear it re-opened. I’ve been going to the Golden Inn every once in a while since 1985. Hot and sour soup!
