For the better part of a century, the Royal Canadian Circus has roamed the Great White North, delighting four generations of audiences with acrobats, animals, and clowns. The current iteration doesn’t disappoint: Bengal and Siberian tigers perform one of earth’s largest Cat acts, aerialists soar through the tent as unicyclists race below, and the Zerbini Performing Elephants dazzle with size, smarts, and perfect table manners. One of the Royal Canadian’s greatest feats, however, takes place behind the scenes—the circus is animal-friendly, allowing trainers to work one-on-one with the creatures in a harmonious environment.
