Today’s GrouponLive deal: for $14, you get two general admission tickets to see Dirty Laundry at Lunchbox Theatre (a $28 value). All performances are held on Mondays and start at 7:30 p.m. Choose from the following dates:

  • February 6, 13, or 20
  • March 5, 12, or 19
  • April 2, 9, 16, or 30

Dirty Laundry’s quick-witted troupe causes guts to combust on a weekly basis with uproarious, completely improvised swipes at the soap-opera genre. This February, March, or April, attendees can drop in on the second half of season 12, which rides a rollicking chariot back to the antiquated metropolis of ancient Rome. Each two-hour performance follows the melodramatic developments of a Roman family, hatching an instantaneous storyline built around feuding legions, flourishing love, and lopsided trades of autographed galea helmets. Togas and tunics sheathe centurions and nobility as they carouse across the Empire’s stage, and live music infuses the show with a dose of historical whimsy. As the dramedy unfolds, Lunchbox Theatre’s intimate, 150-seat setting encourages guests to snake close enough to the action to hear every off-the-cuff line and observe the stage manager playing solitaire in the wings.
