Sharpening her photographic instincts by snapping weddings, families, and infants, Kristi Sneddon encourages clients to turn photo shoots into celebratory events. After scheduling the on-location shoot, Sneddon scouts the locale to get a feel for its possibilities and to shoo away any B-list celebrities looking for a flash-bulb fix and then provides clients with a clothing consult. During the shoot, clients can invite as many people and request as many portraits as can fit into the one-hour session, after which up to 100 photos are uploaded into a password-protected online gallery. About two weeks after the shoot, Sneddon invites clients for a sit-down to review the images, during which family, friends, and nosy neighbours are welcome to view the photos as well. Clients choose one image to develop into 8″x10″ print in choice of colour, black and white, or sepia and can also peruse additional order options for purchase. Single enlargements range from such standard sizes such as 4″x6″ ($8) and 11″x14″ ($48), and personalization options include custom framing ($150+), event cards (starting at $275 for 50 cards), and artistically rendered marker moustaches.
